Our story
Four chapters, one philosophy.
Founded on faith & community
Robert Jeske founded R.J. Heating & Cooling in Cleveland to serve the heating needs of his local church. Word spread among the congregation, and within a few years the business expanded to serve the broader Cleveland community. For 41 years, Robert ran the company by one rule: fast, honest, friendly service.
New ownership, same values
Two longtime employees — Charles Dolph and Charles Cramer — purchased the company and divided it into complementary installation and service operations, both sharing a building and a hard-earned reputation. Through the late '80s and '90s, both operations grew steadily.
Expanding across the region
R.J. acquired Dart Heating & Cooling in Medina County and Heating Sales & Service in Parma/Seven Hills, extending coverage across Northeast Ohio. The company's signature yellow-and-white service vans — the "bumble bees," as longtime customers call them — became a familiar sight from Mentor to Akron.
Still going strong
R.J. now serves customers across more than 25 cities in Northeast Ohio, with 332+ verified five-star reviews and a full team of N.A.T.E. certified technicians. The commitment that started with one church in 1946 hasn't changed — we're here to exceed your expectations, every single time.
